Newcastle Suzuki Violin Studio is friendly and caring violin studio committed to providing a nurturing environment for every child to flourish. Nicole Cox is an inspiring and supportive violin teacher that offers both individual and group lessons. Individual lessons are informative, supportive, and engaging. Group lessons are open, fun and lively.
Nicole strives to make learning fun while challenging students to develop into mature musicians. She offers beginning, intermediate, and advanced violin lessons to students ages 2 to 92.
Nicole Cox offers violin lessons using the Suzuki method which mimics the way children learn their mother tongue and emphasizes learning music by ear over reading musical notation. This method parallels language acquisition, where a child learns to speak before learning to read.
For students 6 years old or above; depending on skill level, she also offers music theory and muscianship lessons.
